Prior to Usynova, he has over ten years of experience in financial market, and was former General Manager of the Broker Asset Management Department of Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd., responsible for research and direct investment. He has rich research experience in pharmaceutical industry and investment experience in primary and secondary markets, and founding of and investment in several biotechnology companies.

Prior to Usynova, Dr. Peng joined Eli Lilly and Company (LLY) and has over 22 years of career at Lilly, he was promoted up to Senior Research Fellow (R7, VP equivalent), and was heavily involved in the novel drug discovery and clinical development of oncology drugs. He led and managed a discovery group responsible for part of the Lilly Oncology portfolio from target selection, project initiation, clinical candidate discovery to early phase clinical trial.
